In September 2015, the “recent-low” of lumber prices, benchmark commodity Western S-P-F KD 2x4s were selling for US$249 mfbm … this week that price has INCREASED by an unbelievable $104. Even the most veteran players are stunned by this latest development.
Advancing by levels previously unseen, the wholesaler price of benchmark construction framing dimension softwood lumber item Western Spruce-Pine-Fir KD 2×4 #2&Btr for the week ending Aug 21, 2020, was US$850 mfbm (net FOB sawmill), an increase of +104, or +12%, from last week when it was US$746.
