In 2013, Oregon’s timber harvest rose to 4.2 billion board feet, marking four consecutive years of increase from the recession low of 2.72 billion board feet in 2009 said the Oregon Department of Forestry Thursday. Eighteen western Oregon counties received US$39.6 million in another set of one-time federal payments for lands once owned by the Oregon & California Railroad, according to the Statesman Journal Thursday. Timber Revenue, Oregon The release was announced by the Bureau of Land Management, which oversees most of those lands.
