This week prices rose by less than last week, but are still up by an extremely large degree of $90. Market conditions, in particular demand, point to continuing momentum for unprecedented high prices to well past Labour Day.
Continuing to rocket up into the stratosphere, the wholesaler price of benchmark construction framing dimension softwood lumber item Western Spruce-Pine-Fir KD 2×4 #2&Btr for the week ending Aug 28, 2020, was US$940 mfbm (net FOB sawmill), an increase of +90, or +10%, from last week when it was US$850.
