Net earnings were $0.8 million, or $0.01 per share, compared with net losses of $3.5 million, or $0.05 per share, in 4Q 2015.

Norbord, out of Toronto, ON, Friday reported adjusted EBITDA of US$61 million for 1Q 2016, versus US$16 million in 1Q 2015 and US$57 million in 4Q 2015. The year-over-year improvement is primarily due to higher North American OSB prices and shipment volumes, and the weaker Canadian dollar. North American operations generated Adjusted EBITDA of US$53 million in the quarter compared to US$11 million in the same quarter last year and US$51 million in the prior quarter.
