Highlight of Exports YTD 2015 (February), compared to YTD 2014 (February):
• BC forest product exports totalled $1.96 billion, up 4.8 per cent from $1.88 billion.
• Share of export value by market: US (48.2 per cent, up from 42.3 per cent), China + Hong Kong (28.7 per cent, down from 30.9 per cent), Japan (9.3 per cent, down from 11.7 per cent) and other destinations (13.7 per cent, down from 15.1 per cent).
• Share of export value by product: Softwood Lumber (45.6 per cdent, up from 44.4 per cent), Pulp (25.3 per cent, down from 27.1 per cent), Other Wood Products (13.6 per cent, up from 11.7 per cent), and Logs (6 per cent, down from 7 per cent).
