Lumber production in May by sawmills in Canada decreased 2 per cent from April to 5,763.4 thousand cubic metres, said Statistics Canada Tuesday. Compared with May 2015, lumber production rose 8.2 per cent.
Sawmills shipped 5,787.6 thousand cubic metres of lumber in May, up 2.4 per cent from April. Shipments rose 6 per cent compared with May 2015.
