North America softwood lumber production volumes and sawmill capacity utilization rates released by Western Wood Products Association (www.wwpa.org) show:
US lumber production for February 2021 down -4.4% compared to Feb 2020
Canada lumber production for February up +5% compared to one year ago.
British Columbia lumber production up +6.5% in Feb compared to the same month last year.
US sawmill capacity utilization rates in Feb 2021 flat compared to Feb 2020 at 87%
Canada sawmill capacity utilization in Feb up to 84% (which is still somewhat low) compared to a terrible 76% in Feb 2021.
